Scott Maynard had two hits and two runs batted in, and Juan Silvestre had two hits and one RBI, but Lancaster (39-30) lost to Lake Elsinore, 18-6, in a California League game Saturday night at the Hangar in Lancaster.
The loss, combined with San Bernardino’s 11-8 victory over San Jose, cut South Division-leading Lancaster’s lead over the Stampede (38-31) to one game with one game to play.
