Plans for converting the city founder’s home into the city’s first cultural arts center will be discussed at Wednesday’s City Council meeting.
The report offers recommendations for the renovation and reuse of Casa Romantica, the home of Ole Hanson. The city resumes control of the landmark in two weeks.
The mansion’s tenant, Events By Design Inc., has run weddings and other special events out of the historic home for 15 years. That lease expires in April, at which time extensive work will begin on Casa Romantica before it opens to the public.
The council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers, 100 Avenida Presidio.
