Last week was costly for Highland.
The Bulldogs drove nearly 75 miles Tuesday to El Camino Real for a game that was rained out.
The game was rescheduled for Friday, but things had changed. The Bulldogs, who rode in a charter bus on Tuesday, arrived in a three-van caravan because the charter could not be rehired.
Highland lost, 16-6, with the game halted in the fifth inning because of the 10-run rule.
The Bulldogs (3-1), who were ranked No. 3 in the region by The Times, fell to No. 8.
