Lindros Is Out, but Flyers Win

From Associated Press

Eric Lindros was scratched before the game because of a headache, and then the Philadelphia Flyers were a pain for the Coyotes Monday night at Phoenix, winning, 4-1.

Keith Primeau scored twice and John LeClair and Valeri Zelepukin also connected for the Flyers, who won for the ninth time in 13 games.

Lindros, who played but did not score in Philadelphia’s 3-1 loss to Colorado on Sunday, was beginning to suit up for Monday night’s game but stopped because of a headache. Team officials said his condition does not appear to be related to the concussion Lindros sustained Jan. 14 at Atlanta, the third of the six-time All-Star’s career. The center, who already had missed 13 games because of four different injuries, will return to Philadelphia with the team and will be re-examined by team doctors.
