Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County, a nonprofit mentoring program, received a $7,750 donation Wednesday from Stater Bros. supermarkets and the Pillsbury Co.
Big Brothers and Big Sisters will use the money to hire more mentors for children. The county has put children interested in being mentored on a waiting list. But with the additional funds, the children are expected to be taken off the list, said Janie Roach, spokeswoman for the Pillsbury Co.
