The Channelaire Women’s Chorus is looking for new singers to participate in its annual Fourth of July Patriotic Chorus. Auditions will not be required.
The first rehearsal will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 16 at Village Square Shopping Center in Camarillo. Rehearsals will continue for six weeks under the direction of Judy Ashmore, who previously led the chorus for 28 years.
The 92-member chorus performs countywide at various celebrations throughout the year.
“We have been doing the Patriotic Chorus for seven years,” chorus member Beverly Springer said. “And the chorus itself has been around for 36 years.”
