Visitors to the nation’s capital this spring and summer will find several notable--and free--exhibits. Among them:
* “Vikings: the North Atlantic Saga”--More than 300 artifacts, from ancient jewelry and woodcarvings to contemporary pop-culture items, from Europe and the U.S. commemorate the 1,000th anniversary of the Vikings’ arrival in North America from Scandinavia. * “Thomas Jefferson”--About 150 items trace the life and influence of America’s third president.
