Steve Allen, Class Act
Having been Steve Allen’s publicist for nearly 10 years, I wanted to thank you for your thorough and classy tribute to a man who had more talents than any entertainer alive.
Steve Allen was a publicist’s dream. Up to the day he passed away, there wasn’t a day on his calendar when he wasn’t committed to hosting an event, supporting a charitable cause, writing a book, composing yet another song, speaking at a function, performing with his big band or doing comedy, being photographed, making a guest appearance, helping a fellow colleague or doing a press interview. Steve always obliged the media and never refused an interview request.
If even one of our new generation of entertainers carried on an ounce of Steve Allen’s style, grace and class--and possessed even an ounce of his talent--our world would benefit tremendously.
