Coliseum Unsafe for U.S. Soccer Fans?

As the U.S. youngsters thoroughly trounced the Mexican national soccer team Oct. 25 at the Coliseum, once again the drunken Mexican mob reared its ugly head, throwing beer cups, rocks and other dangerous projectiles at players, coaches, officials and fans. The riot lasted about 10 minutes, and worsened as the Mexican hooligans realized they could throw with impunity. Brave U.S. fans sporting U.S. colors were often the target of the mob.
Once again we ask: Where was the LAPD? Why is beer sold at the Coliseum when Mexican and Central American teams play? Why doesn’t the U.S. play at the Rose Bowl?
Does the U.S. Federation hierarchy feel safe in the press box as it counts the gate of 61,000 spectators (with an average ticket price of $30)? U.S. fans don’t feel safe at the Coliseum.
