Lynwood Tops Norco for Tournament Title

Andrea Adams made six three-point baskets and finished with 21 points to lead Lynwood to a 73-54 victory over Norco on Friday in the championship game of the Norco girls’ basketball tournament.
A three-point play by Erika Arriaran pulled Norco to within 22-21 in the opening seconds of the second quarter, but Norco committed nine turnovers and went the next 41/2 minutes without a field goal as Lynwood opened a 36-26 halftime lead.
Tournament most valuable player Janice Bright scored 16 and Sade Wiley-Gatewood had 17 for Lynwood (4-0), ranked No. 2 in The Times’ rankings.No. 22 Norco (6-2) was led by Arriaran’s 19 points.
