More than $446,000 in federal grants is available to Ventura County nonprofit agencies that provide food and shelter for the needy.
Groups applying for the Emergency Food and Shelter program funds must have an accounting system and conduct an annual audit, not discriminate, show they can deliver emergency food and shelter, and, if private, have a voluntary board.
Groups can contact Cindi Love at 485-6288, Ext. 227, for information.
Applications are available at the United Way office, 1317 Del Norte Road, Suite 100, Camarillo 93010. Applications must be received by noon Jan. 4.
