New Missions Group to Focus on Women

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A new organization designed to encourage evangelical Christians to be involved in global missions efforts for and by women was created this month.
Global Women was incorporated by a group of U.S. Baptist women, but the group has plans to become interdenominational and international, said the Rev. Suzanah Raffield, an interim minister of youth and education in Birmingham who will become the group’s full-time staff coordinator.
