Man Arrested After 45-Minute Car Chase

A man led police on a 45-minute car chase from the San Fernando Valley to Mar Vista early Tuesday before he crashed and was arrested, authorities said.
About 12:25 a.m. Los Angeles police officers responding to a burglary report in Van Nuys spotted a 1980 Cutlass Supreme and tried making a traffic stop, but the car hit two parked vehicles and sped away. After a chase on the Hollywood, Harbor and Santa Monica freeways, the driver got off on Washington Boulevard. He was apprehended after crashing into parked vehicles outside the Mar Vista Gardens public housing complex.
