In other City Section boys’ first-round games:
Westchester 110, Marshall 40--John Clemmons scored 20 points, Brandon Heath added 17 and Keith Everage had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the top-seeded and defending City-champion Comets at Westchester.
Westchester (25-1) led, 22-6, after one quarter, 61-21, at halftime.
Northern League champion Marshall finished 14-12.
Fairfax 113, Chatsworth 72--Junior Evan Burns scored 34 points to lead the second-seeded Lions (21-5) at home.
Craig Smith added 18 points and Fernando Sampson had 16 for Fairfax, which led, 34-10, after the first quarter.
Fremont 76, North Hollywood 43--Earl Felix had 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the third-seeded Pathfinders (18-6) at Fremont.
Dorsey 90, Venice 71--Donald Wilson scored 22 points and Marcus Adams added 12 points for the Dons in the victory at home.
Grant 82, Taft 79--Mike Charleston scored 27 points and made eight consecutive free throws in the fourth quarter to help the Lancers (20-6) pull out the victory at Taft.
