Two women were killed in separate car accidents Friday and Saturday, with one collision involving a big-rig truck tying up the Artesia Freeway near the Santa Ana Freeway for hours.
Jung Hee Kim, 51, of Artesia, died Saturday after her car collided with a big rig on the eastbound Artesia Freeway, west of the Santa Ana Freeway shortly before 8 a.m., said officials from the California Highway Patrol and the Orange County coroner’s office.
At 11 p.m. Friday, a 22-year-old North Hollywood man was arrested for investigation of manslaughter and driving under the influence after he ran a red light at La Palma and Western avenues in Buena Park and crashed into a car driven by June Elizabeth Yoder, 75, of Buena Park, said Buena Park police Sgt.
