Cherry Creek Road Reopens to Vehicles
Cherry Creek Road, the entryway to a popular shooting range in Los Padres National Forest, has been reopened to vehicles after being closed through the winter.
The unpaved road intersects California 33 about 38 miles north of Ojai. Though it is open to pedestrians and cyclists year-round, it is closed to cars and trucks during winter to prevent accidents and to protect natural resources.
The Cherry Creek target shooting area is for paper targets only, and the National Forest Service requires shooters to carry out all used targets and other trash.
For information, call the National Forest Service’s Ojai Ranger District office at (805) 646-4348.
