N.Y. Professor Is Named CSUF Engineering Dean

An engineering professor from the Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology has been appointed dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Cal State Fullerton, officials said Thursday.
Raman Unnikrishnan, whose appointment is effective Aug. 1, is chairman and professor of electrical engineering at the New York university. He is credited with enhancing the research of the electrical engineering faculty at the university and improving the department’s national reputation. Last year, U.S. News & World Report recognized the department as the fifth-best electrical engineering program among comprehensive institutions.
Unnikrishnan will succeed Richard D. Rocke.
