A ‘Telescope Night’ Fit for Buzz Lightyear
- Share via
“Telescope Night” at the Hunt Library promises stargazers a realistic look at the solar system and beyond.
The Orange County Astronomers Assn. and the UC Irvine physics and astronomy departments are sponsoring the event, which will concentrate on viewing Mars. UCI graduate students will put on a slide show about the planet. Both host groups will bring telescopes for public use.
The free event runs from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday. It is a promotion for the library, at 201 S. Basque St., which recently reopened on Fridays for the first time since 1978.
