Unhappy Trails

I read with sadness the July 22 article regarding the possible closing of the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Museum in Victorville. Sadness, but not surprise.
I’m 52, grew up loving the couple’s 1950s TV series and have visited the museum on several occasions through the years, usually hosting visiting relatives from Ohio. Every time we visited the museum we felt unwelcome. From the purchase of our tickets to our last stop at the gift shop, not one staff member ever greeted us with so much as a “hello.”
