Appeal Set for Church Sound-System Matter

Irvine City Councilman Greg Smith has appealed a Planning Commission decision to pull the plug on any amplification at a proposed outdoor amphitheater at Mariners Church.
The 1,000-seat amphitheater is part of a 10-year expansion project unanimously approved by the commission last month. The council is set to consider the matter June 26.
