Low CD Rates Are in Wall Street’s Interest

Wall Street is salivating at the prospect of bank savers being forced into the stock market, due to such low interest rates on certificates of deposit [“Will Low Rates Push Savings Into Stocks?” Market Beat, June 3].
My feeling is that Wall Street has Alan Greenspan in its hip pocket; his interest is more in improving investors’ profits than in improving the economy.
Now everyone can lose their retirement funds and end up on welfare. Right on, Alan.
