Re “Infuriated Managers Suing for Overtime--and Winning,” June 8: The scope of corporate greed goes far deeper than merely exploiting low-level managers, as many of the individuals victimized have nothing to do with management at all but are simply white-collar workers. The problem is upper-level managers maximizing their bonuses and salaries by, in effect, stealing from whomever is expedient. The claim that some companies will go out of business because of a requirement to pay for work performed is not only ludicrous but self-serving and deceiving. Apparently the need for labor unions extends beyond the shop floor.
