From Times Wire Reports
Even after Jay Knudsen Sr. dies, he’ll still be hunting with his buddies Ken and Bob: Some of his ashes will fill two carved duck decoys. “Instead of thinking of dead people as you walk past [an] urn, why not walk past a duck decoy and smile?” asked Knudsen, of Des Moines.
Mourners are seeking new ways of memorializing loved ones, including putting ashes in art objects, shotgun shells, fireworks--even added to sparkling designer glassware.
Knudsen, who makes the urns/decoys, sells them for about $300.
