Ebell Leads California in July 7 Shrine Game

Ventura High running back Tyler Ebell, The Times’ Glenn Davis Award winner who rushed for 4,494 yards 64 touchdowns last season, heads the list of California high school seniors have been selected to play in the 50th Shrine Anniversary All-Star Classic against a team from Texas on July 7 at Mt. San Antonio College. Ebell set state career records with 7,384 yards rushing and 111 touchdowns.

San Clemente’s Justin Tomerlin, a 6-foot-7, 250-pound defensive end and tight end who previously committed to Florida State, will instead attend Saddleback College in the fall.
Former Katella assistant Jay Noonan has been hired as coach at Estancia, the school has announced.
