* Raven Klaasen of South Africa defeated Lester Cook, 16, of Sherman Oaks, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, in the first round of the NBC-56 Futures tournament Thursday in Shreveport, La. The event was the first professional tournament for the 16-year-old Cook.
