Math Error Exaggerated TriZetto Loss Estimate

TriZetto Group Inc., citing a mathematical error, corrected its first-quarter earnings estimate to a loss of 66 cents to 69 cents a share, down from a projected loss of 71 cents to 74 cents a share on Jan. 26.
The previously estimated loss of $24 million to $25 million and revenue estimate of $42 million to $45 million for the three months remains unchanged, according to TriZetto, a Newport Beach information technology company.
For the first quarter last year, TriZetto reported an operating loss of $5.3 million, or 28 cents a share, on revenue of $17.7 million.
