El Dorado Wins in 9th Inning on Zurhellen’s Homer

El Dorado’s Brian Zurhellen hit a home run with one out in the ninth inning to give the Golden Hawks a 2-1 victory over Cypress in the quarterfinals of the Loara baseball tournament.
The victory sent El Dorado (3-0) into Thursday’s semifinal against the winner of today’s Villa Park-Katella game.
Cory D’Arrigo also homered for El Dorado and pitcher Nick McMillan (2-0) struck out seven in the complete-game victory.
J.J. Lovejoy had two hits for Cypress (2-1).
