Pat Maloney hit three-point shots 1:03 apart in the final three minutes and Catholic of Washington, D.C., held off William Paterson, 76-62, at Salem, Va., to win its first NCAA Division III men’s title.

Natalie Powers’ three-point shot with five seconds remaining gave Western Kentucky a 64-63 victory over Indiana (20-11) in a second-round game at Bowling Green, Ky.
In other games: LaToya Thomas had 23 points in leading Mississippi State (17-13) to an 86-77 victory over Illinois (17-16) at Champaign, Ill. . . . At Harrisonburg, Va., Shanna Price had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead James Madison (22-9) to a 78-74 victory over Georgetown (17-15). . . . Chelsea Grear scored a career-high 18 points to lead New Mexico (20-12) to a 75-62 victory over Arizona (20-12) at Albuquerque, N.M.
