Courier Flights at Burbank
* It was interesting reading about Ameriflight’s courier flights that break the so-called curfew at Burbank Airport (“Dissonance at Dark,” March 12). You know what? I don’t want to hear about all the important bank notes they are delivering in the middle of the night. All that can wait until morning, thank you. The next time I get awakened at 3 a.m. by one of their planes, I would love to have a hotline to the bedroom phone of Ameriflight’s owner and say, “Hi, just thought I’d give you a little jingle in the middle of the night to say I’m thinking about you.”
The real solution to all the airport noise problems is quite simple: Build quieter airplanes. We have the technology to send spacecraft to Mars. We can do this too.
