Jacobsen broke the Stanford record for three-point baskets in a season when he connected with his first shot of the game.
Jacobsen had shared the record with Dion Cross, who had 82 in the 1994-95 season. Jacobsen finished the game making two three-point shots in four attempts.

Maryland’s Lonny Baxter was selected as the most outstanding player in the West Regional after his 24-point performance against Stanford.
It lifted his season scoring average to 15.7 points. He is averaging 17.8 points in four NCAA tournament games.
Others selected to the West Regional all-star team were Juan Dixon of Maryland, Jacobsen and Ryan Mendez of Stanford, and Kenny Satterfield of Cincinnati.
