Two San Diego County Students Plead Not Guilty

A San Diego County student who allegedly knew two of the suspected hijackers in the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon pleaded not guilty to charges of lying to a grand jury.
Osama Awadallah, 21, a Jordanian citizen attending Grossmont College, was indicted on two charges of perjury over denying that he knew Khalid Al-Midhar, one of five men who allegedly hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 and crashed it into the Pentagon. Awadallah entered his not guilty plea in Manhattan federal court.
Another San Diego college student held as a material witness, Mohdar Mohammed Abdoulah, pleaded not guilty in San Diego federal court to charges that he lied on an application for asylum.
