Man Arrested After 2-County Chase

Los Angeles police apprehended a Port Hueneme man Saturday after he allegedly slashed his ex-girlfriend with a knife Friday, stole her car and led police on a two-county chase that started in Oxnard and ended in Encino.
After crashing into a light pole, Celso Ullegue Anciento, 42, was handed over to Oxnard police, who arrested him and took him to the Ventura County Medical Center, said Oxnard Police Cmdr. Tom Chronister. Anciento suffered minor injuries, police said.
