Crenshaw 39, Sylmar 17--Corey Hudson scored three touchdowns and Crenshaw scored 27 unanswered points in the second half at South Gate High.
The Cougars (10-0) trailed, 17-12, at halftime. Hudson’s 76-yard touchdown run with 5:48 left in the third quarter gave Crenshaw an 18-17 lead. Patrick Owens scored on a 62-yard reception with 22 seconds remaining in the third quarter to extend the lead to 26-17.
Hudson rushed for 170 yards in 10 carries. He scored on a 75-yard run in the first quarter and added a 12-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.
Sylmar quarterback Lance Dibene completed seven of 18 passes for 157 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Burney. Burney rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries for the Spartans (8-3).
