First Lady Stresses Rights in Afghanistan

First Lady Laura Bush urged Afghan delegates taking part in talks in Germany to agree to a diverse post-Taliban government for their country that includes women and respects human rights.
The talks on a post-Taliban government opened in Bonn with the Northern Alliance and three smaller delegations of Afghan exiles. The U.N.-sponsored talks are expected to last at least a week.
Bush met at the White House with 11 exiled Afghan women.
