Taft (2-1) at San Fernando (2-1), Friday, 7 p.m.
It’s worth the price of admission to watch the individual duel between Ramon Perry of San Fernando and Steve Smith of Taft, two of the best receivers in Southern California. Perry has become the school’s second-leading receiver all-time with 73 receptions. Smith is averaging 25.3 yards a catch. Both play cornerback and are expected to cover each other.

Chatsworth (3-0) at Sylmar (2-1), Friday, 7 p.m.
This is an opportunity for surprising Chatsworth to earn some respect. The Chancellors have a balanced offense behind quarterback Jason Moss and running back Joe Shumpert. Sylmar has won its last two games relying almost exclusively on the running of tailback Danny Burney, who gained 220 yards and scored two touchdowns last week against North Hollywood.
