Watts Towers Reopen

Re “An Icon Restored, Reopened,” Sept. 29: We joined in the celebration of the restoration and reopening of Simon Rodia’s Watts Towers. It brought together that marvelous mix of people that makes L.A. wonderful. Rodia had said, “I had in mind doing something big, and I did.” To the people and agencies that spent six years restoring, I say, “You had in mind to do something big, and you did.”
