USC Middle Blocker Olsovsky Is Honored

USC sophomore Katie Olsovsky earned national player-of-the-week honors by the American Volleyball Coaches Assn. for her performance in victories over Stanford and California last week.
Olsovsky, a middle blocker, was also named Pacific 10 Conference player of the week. Against fourth-ranked Stanford, she had 10 kills and 10 digs, and she hit .733 with 11 kills in 15 attempts and no errors against Cal.
Olsovsky is the third USC player to earn national honors.
