Don’t Like Votes? Don’t Blame Us

The single noteworthy morsel in T.J. Simers’ whiny diatribe against Scott Wolf of the Daily News this past week is that the only writers in Southern California that the Associated Press has awarded votes to for its top 25 are Wolf and Todd Harmonson of the Orange County Register.
Now, I’ve known for some time that granting such a vote to a Times sportswriter would be akin to giving a loaded gun to a child. I’m relieved to see that the brain trust at the Associated Press agrees.
