From Times Wire Reports
A court dismissed a lawsuit against SilkAir by families of six of the 104 people killed in a crash in Indonesia four years ago. The families sued the regional carrier for damages after a SilkAir plane plunged into the Musi River on Sumatra on December 19, 1997.
The Singapore court said the plaintiffs had failed to prove that the aircraft was deliberately put into a dive. Indonesia’s National Transportation Safety Committee had reported that the wreckage “yielded no evidence to explain the cause of the accident.”
