Kids Offered Art Activities at Plaza

Pause4Kids, a nonprofit group that creates programs for children with developmental disabilities, is sponsoring an art event in Thousand Oaks on Saturday at the same time as the city’s Arbor/Earth Day celebration.
The Art-a-Thon, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will give youngsters of all ability levels a chance to make artwork with recycled materials--from picture frames and key chains to necklaces, collages and plaster casts. There will also be a raffle.
The artwork will be assembled near the courtyard of the Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.
