Re “Shoe Logo on a Park? Lake Forest Says It’s a Good Fit,” April 14: They make obscenely large gifts to politicians who will lower their taxes, shred the safety net and ax public amenities, and if that’s not enough, the corporations dodge their community responsibilities by going offshore. No wonder we’re disgusted when they throw us a few pennies, then demand their logo be placed on our parks, on our bus benches, on our sports venues and (coming soon) on our public toilets. Mervyn’s even has its logo on an interpretive plaque in Yosemite. Oh, we are so grateful!
