Sheffield Has Left: Now Will He Shut Up?
Gary Sheffield has become a pitiable individual. His pathetic comments regarding Jim Tracy and Shawn Green upon arriving at the Braves’ camp continue to reveal what we already knew. The Braves acquired a petty, jealous, immature, insecure little boy of wondrous on-field talents, whose negatives, which include a total inability to keep his big mouth shut, far outweigh those talents.
The type of person Sheffield is has made every team for which he has ever played regret ever getting him and making each of their decisions to unload him a no-brainer.

So Gary Sheffield is praising the Braves and putting down the Dodgers, all before having even played a single exhibition game for Atlanta.
Is this even worthy of newsprint? Isn’t this the same way he reacts every time he gets traded? Didn’t he have similar glowing remarks to say about the Dodgers when Florida shipped him off?
If he thought the Dodgers gave Green preferential treatment, just wait until Gary realizes that the Braves have even more talented players than the Dodgers did last year. It’s a shame that Sheffield’s ego will always stand in the way of his becoming a truly great player.
