Stanley Cup Fans Skating Short-Handed
Is it just me, or did the NHL playoffs seemingly end a lot earlier this season? In fact, immediately after the Kings were eliminated from Stanley Cup consideration, The Times pulled all the writers from the hockey beat and left us puck fans with nothing but scant Associated Press paragraphs buried deep within the sports section. Granted, you needed the extra space to bore us with the constant soccer columns, but if the Lakers had lost in the first round of the playoffs, would you honestly be treating the basketball fans as poorly as you are your hockey readers?
