Long Beach Airport: The Secret’s Out

You just ruined it for those of us who know the secret about Long Beach Airport (“Outlying Airports’ Fates Tell a Tale of Two Cities,” Travel Insider, May 26). I live in northern Orange County and use Ontario or Long Beach whenever possible to avoid LAX.
I have never used John Wayne Airport and probably never will. I would rather drive to Ontario or Long Beach and avoid the freeway crush. At Long Beach I can park close to the terminal for next to nothing, and have, at most, a five-minute wait through security. And I have found the fares, on average, to be less than at the other local airports, especially John Wayne.
