Garden Jobs

It may rain this month and snow may dust the mountains, but spring has arrived. Everything seems to be in bloom, and the gardening opportunities are nearly endless.

You can plant just about anything, from seeds to citrus, and there are plenty of chores to do, from weeding to fertilizing.

Fertilize every plant in the garden to encourage spring growth and flowering. If you can get around to this job only once a year, now is the time.

The easiest way is to scatter an all-purpose, granular fertilizer on the ground and then water it in with a sprinkler, or hope for rain.
