Police and Fire Chiefs to Head Holiday Parade

Police Chief Mike Tracy and Fire Chief Dennis Downs will serve as grand marshals of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday.
The parade will begin at Mission Park, across from the San Buenaventura Mission, at 10 a.m. and make its way up Main Street to Laurel Street.
Shamrock, the 12-foot-tall inflatable green pig, will return to the parade after a couple of years off, accompanied by scores of other entrants, including bands, floats, equestrians and Irish dancers.
