Pedestrian Is Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver

As he pushed a shopping cart, a 40-year-old man was killed Sunday morning just outside San Fernando’s western boundary, Los Angeles police said. The driver fled.
Michael Joseph Squeri was struck from behind about 5:15 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Hubbard Street and Herrick Avenue. Police said Squeri lived in a group home in San Fernando.
Police do not have a description of the vehicle that hit Squeri, or its driver.
