Police continued their search Wednesday for two women wanted for questioning in a fatal stabbing outside a convenience store.
Lucille Jefferson, 22, of Oxnard died at St. John’s Regional Medical Center about 4 a.m. Monday. Jefferson had driven herself to the hospital after being stabbed near the parking lot of a convenience store in the 100 block of Rose Avenue. She collapsed in the emergency room and died after several hours of surgery.
Witnesses told investigators Jefferson was stabbed after arguing with two women in a car that was blocking her vehicle, Sgt. Jim Seitz of the Oxnard Police Department said. It’s unclear what role, if any, the two women played in the stabbing, but they were witnesses, Seitz said.
Crime Stoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information on the stabbing, Seitz said.
Anyone with information is urged to call 385-8288.
