Masco Settles Mildew Lawsuits

Masco Corp. said it settled class-action lawsuits filed over mildew caused by the building-products company’s Behr wood stains and preservatives.
The cost of the settlements will be about $200 million before taxes. All claims will be dismissed without admission of wrongdoing or liability after court approval of the settlements, Masco said.
Shares of Taylor, Mich.-based Masco rose 65 cents to $19.90 on the NYSE.
