Hewitt Retires From Sheriff’s Department

Assistant Sheriff John “Rocky” Hewitt retired from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department last week after nearly 37 years of service.
Hewitt, 63, started with the department in 1967 and became Mission Viejo’s first chief of police operations. His most recent assignment was taking charge of the county jail operations.
